Bayern Munich is the second European team not from Great Britain to play in the All-Star Game, following A.S. Roma in the 2013 MLS All-Star Game. As such, they are the first German team to play in the All-Star Game. They will also be the first defending FIFA Club World Champions to play in the All-Star Game after winning the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup.

NOTES ON PREDICTION: This is gearing up to be an amazing game! I am grinning from ear to ear so excited by the line up on both sides. If ever there were a more amazing selection of incredible players both here and in the International team, which this year is Germany, who just came off their amazing World Cup victory with some of the same exact players.
I am particularly excited to watch DeAndre Yedlin, Kyle Beckerman, Tim Cahill, Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Thierry Henry and Bradley Wright-Phillips all working together on the same team.
Then on the German side you have Schweinsteiger, Götze, Lahm, and Müller are such amazing players.
It’s going to be amazing regardless of who wins. But now let’s talk about who wins. Yes, I’m an American. Yes, I love my country. But these are predictions and if just went with the All-Stars because they were from my country then you wouldn’t really be interested in my prediction.
I’m trying to provide entertainment and that’s why I believe the final score will be:
Johno’s Final Score Prediction: 2 - 1 Bayern Munich
Why do I feel this way: I just think in the end Bayern is a strong team. On the All-Star side it’s not easy for individual players from various teams to play together for one game. There are club rivalries and career rivalries. Bayern Munich play together and have for a long time. They trust each other and know it’s other’s skills and weaknesses. We’ll see. Believe me I’d love for the All-Stars to win.
